THE MISSION
Active Scholars camps focus on Science Technology Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) education while developing basketball and other sports skills for campers age 7 to 13. Our lead classroom instructors are certified teachers, through Ontario College of Teachers, who facilitate an engaging learning experience throughout the school year. Our lead sports instructors are National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) trained coaches, with many years of experience working with children in their sport. Our Scholars (campers) will gain new knowledge and skill sets through our S.T.E.M. curriculum and through equal time participation in sports.
Camps
At Active Scholars, kids get the best of both worlds—learning and play! Our March Break and Summer Camps combine STEM and sports to keep children active, curious, and confident.
Each camp features engaging STEM themes and fun physical activities designed to spark creativity, build skills, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

STEM Workshops
Our STEM Workshops (STEM for Scholars) offers engaging, hands-on workshops for Grades 2–8 students in schools across the GTA, as well as for teacher candidates at colleges and universities. Each workshop provides inquiry-based learning experiences that are designed to align with the Ontario curriculum, fostering curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a love of STEM.
Our workshops include robotics, engineering, digital media, beat production, STEM challenges, science experiments, and basketball analytics.
