About Our Summer Camp
Active Scholars welcomes campers aged 7 to 13 to participate in our STEM and Sports programs. Parents can rest assured that their kids are under the supervision of capable, certified, and caring instructors. Every camper at Active Scholars is guaranteed an amazing and unique experience in a safe and FUN atmosphere.
Community Outreach Objectives
S.T.E.M. education and physical activity should be available to all children, especially those in marginalized communities. This is because the future is S.T.E.M. and experts recommend at least 60 mins of daily physical activity to promote physical wellbeing. At Active Scholars, an important part of our mandate is to ensure that our BIPOC families in financial need receive sponsorship opportunities to attend our programs.
As part of our mandate, we have compiled a Board of Directors and Leadership group that is BIPOC-led with over 70% of our directors identifying as POC. Our governance structure operates both as a volunteer committee and advisory board.
